i get 35mpg and more depends how i drive my 16v  i bought a 54 pug 307 sw 1600 last year and i have took that of the road because my 89 golf 16v is cheaper to run onece its taxed of course lol (99.00) 6 months and the pug just (46.00) lol and the emishons was alot lower on my golf lol

when trying i can get 47 mpg,  normal driveing  it's more like 40mpg when doing a roads and motorway.  or it drops to about 6mpg when find a nice road and have a play

Tanks hold 55 litres + a little up the fuel neck.

Sorry but that rubbish! Not that I dont believe you, but that I get 35+ out of my gti 8v, and you cant get close with a 1.6!

Harsh, but I had to go through it when I was 17 with my 1.3 mk2!

Nope, not without a little help from Redex   Unfortunately they're carbs and not very efficient  

Oh well... 1 month then my insurance goes down to about £28 p/m from £60 Then I can thinking about doing other things   and hopefully (fingers crossed) I get a pay rise/bonus in December

I used about 3/4 tank getting to Birmingham which is only 2 hours away, doing slightly more than the speed limit  :embarassed:

i used 1/4 of a tank in 40 miles lol. i was doing 90-100 on the "private" road though.

I was doing slightly more than 100 on a private road and B'ham is only 80 odd miles from me... I won't be doing that again in a hurry!

when fuel needle drops as fast as your going it upsets me
and i hate driving slowly, im the sort of person who lives life in the redline lol

yup

worked that out on the ring trip.   got 40 mpg on the way back to the uk  and we had quite a good pace on most of the way and a bit of a stomp towards the end  as we were thinking we were late for boat  ( but hadent adjusted clock  oops )     47  was one the way out there and most of the way back when in uk  as  misplaced wallet under seat and chouldn't be arsed looking for it  also lots of speedy camera sings on roads i din't know so was pooteling anyway
