Not sure how Luca finished up, as he is there again today (stopped over). But the nice cool evening weather wasn't really a bonus as made the track it to a friggin ice rink pretty much. That and the SHOCKING organisation of Santa Pod again meant I only managed three runs in over 4 hours..  Not good!
So not improvement on times for me as I managed just a 13.4 @ 107.4mph in the end..
Wasn't much video footage either, as we were queuing the whole time to try and get runs in and with the sh!te organisation of Pod (doing Jet car demos every 5 mins and nearly an hour tea break) meant the day didn't go to plan at all. Think Luca got some decent pics and one vid of me and MatEd30 going up the strip together though which he will post later hopefully.
On the plus side, was good to meet them both (at Mat's mate Jamie)    and was a decent day out with some quick motors there yesterday. But a little disappointed with it not going anything like to plan  (pics, vids etc).
Roll on next year though..

Just got back, will get the vid up soon, not the best quality though.
I only managed 2 runs which were 14.6 @102 and 14.5 @102. I only got 2 runs a which was really annoying as i couldnt hook up properly on both due to the track being very slippy. Didnt get my first run until 7pm so by then the track had really cooled down.
I stopped at my mates house last night hoping to get some early runs in today but when i arrived it was busier than last night . Gutted as the track had been re glued in the morning and it was pretty warm so grip would of been very good today
I used my mates performance box on both runs and it recorded a 0-60 of 7.2 (launching at 2k rpm and wheelspinning in 2nd) 0-100 in 13.9 which shows the power is there when the car grips and lastly a 30-70mph in 4.6.
Saw 2 astra vxr nurburgring editions run and they managed a 14.9 @ 100, an R8 ran a 14.5 @ 102 and he got a good start , his car must have come out of the factory seriously underpowered, The guy did 3 runs and couldnt better his time or terminal speed.
Corsa vxr managed a 15.1 @ 99.
Some evos and skylines were in the high 14's too.

Camera wouldnt zoom enough to get a good reading of the times, vtech and matt will tell you what they got, i also forgot to stop recording after they did the run so dont bother watching the last 6 secs

Those VXR terminal speeds sound like they're modded. Judging by the modded ones going down on sat..
As for the R8.... DEAR!!!

At least there's one vid from as all..  Bloody pause on the DSG launch control..

'IMO' there is something seriously wrong with Mat's car at the min, or was yesterday, as (from what I remember) he managed a 14.8 @ 92mph (against my 13.4 @ 107mph) on that run and got slower on his other two runs (posting a 89mph terminal speed on one ). Mat and his mate say it's an animal on the road (which it should be) and says it seems to be running fine.. I was slightly confused to say the least..
Will soon see in 2 weeks as it's going on Prosport's rollers with us lot.. Hope it gets sorted anyway..

i am stage 1 revo and manual and had taken dp off and gone back to stock as i am having a play around with the car for when i get s3 intercooler on and stage 2 and fuel pump .
What a day i just could not get traction and had mad wheel hop or axle tramp if want to call it that   so was backing power off to compensate and then nailing it once i got traction back but i did ok with a 14.88 qtr mile so abit crap but it was so slippy. I was running the car with 3 1/4 of a tank of juice full interior and baby seat and spare wheel unlike some   but was so good to meet Ben and Luca again who are both top lads and we had lots of fun, the trip down with Bens sat nav
i had him for a mo

one of Ben its a blur
