Racing up to 115mph is stupid. He probably valued his liscence more than you. It's a priveledge remember and NOT a right!

Will always love my mk4 but she had to go...225 Quattro TT in its place....but its still black (she lives on in spirit!)

On way home from work today and i nailed a mk5 gti, Woohoo he bottled out at 115mph :smiley:

When its modded vs standard. I would say a remapped ed30 at 300bhp+ would piss over 99% of all the MK4's in here  :wink:

yeah thats an ed30 though, you'd be surprised how well my fares against remapped gti's

If yours has 270bhp i would imagine it is a bit faster than most mapped MK5's with it being lighter, but give them the same mods and i would expect they would be as quick. Its never fair to compare a modded car to a standard car!

equally you're comparing a MKIV GTI to a MKV ED30 and NOT a MKV GTI  :rolleyes:

Even so a standard mk5 gti will be alot quicker than a standard mk4

A mapped mk5 gti will be alot quicker than a mapped mk4

My point was a well modded mk5 (ed30 in the example) will be quicker when modded.
