Stage 2 revo done today
« on: 10 October 2008, 23:21 »
I went down to ADS in preston today to have the milltek downpipe put on 2.75" same as vtechs and stage 2 revo and a few logs to make sure the car was running perfectly. The difference is night and day, wasnt expecting the difference to be so noticable but it really is. It may be because i had the downpipe done at the same time but my god it pulls like FOOK  .
It just feels like non stop grunt throughout the revs even near the redline the boost and power is very strong.
The map is more aggressive but the car feels smoother to drive for some reason . Dave at ADS really has worked his magic and i cant recommend him enough. He even lent me his revo'd vrs for the day
Before taking the car there i was concerned about the 08 cars misfire problem, dave checked it for me on various runs and it was showing no signs whatsoever even after stage 2  what a releif . He also said the car was running perfectly now and when i get the s3 intercooler on he can tweak it a little more .
Proof of the extra grunt will come with some good time slips from santa pod 2moro

Golf gti ed30, tornado red, itg panel filter, revo stg 2, team dynamics gloss black wheels, turbo back milltek, ecs dogbone mount, leon cupra brakes. s3 intercooler ordered.

May battle commence...
Serously though, glad you're happy mate.. Good isn't it? Think it must be a combo of the two, as when I went from stage 1 to stage 2 (with TBE already on) it was noticeable, but not HUGELY... Just better power delivery and grunt..
Lets see how she fairs tommorow mate..

2.75"? I thought the Milltek was 3" for the Ed30?

Yeah was just about to raise this point.... how come you two have decided to go with the 2.75" instead of the 3" ?
