trying to get the downpipes of my 16v but they wont come out from underneath any1 know how to get them off thxs,

I had to drop the sub frame on one once (just a little at the rear), then the next one came out ok
.

the 16v i broke a while back came off easy undid the bolts after removing the middle section and a bit of wigglin and off she came (i remember them down pipes didnt have a silencer on them, mine currently dos, the lad i flogged engine to said i can have em back so gonna fit em in a week or 2 to get rid of 1st silencer then its stainless scorpion doing the job from there on!! so maybe some better gas flow and more noise lol!!)

Apparently the workshop book time is 1 and a half hours for fitting the downpipe, you do have to lower the subframe. VW's eh, don't you just love em!
