bear this in mind, if you go for a remap, then expect to pay the rest in insurance premium increase of a minimum of £150-£200 on top. Also expect for your £500 you will end up with around only 30bhp extra only.

Me personally, id have a milltek cat back system which wont effect your policy( in most cases) as it wont increase your horsepower but sound 100 times better  . Or if you have dsg, if you have paddleshifters on the wheel, get some aftermarket carbon fibre or stainless extentions for around £150 with your change from the Milltek.

Or if you dont have a sat nav, like has been said go the whole hog and get the mfd3 510 touchscreen Nav. Will add a few quid on part ex when you come to chop her in later

@neg hey mate a remap sounds good since that day you gave me a ride in your gti

i would of remapped my GTI along time ago but because im 23 and have 9 points my insurance company just laughed at me wanting to make the car even more powerfull then they gave me the price which was around an extra £500 a year!!

@neo66 well im at uni full time plus do a full time night job, last night was 4*c! it makes me realise how precious money is.

well i was thinking something for the interior like a multifunction ed30 steering wheel but i dont have the highline display so does this matter? also id buy the handbrake and gearstick to get that new feeling back as mine are fairly worn down..

@phil i did have the rns touch screen when it first came out i got it off ebay for £1000 but just didnt get the most out it, just played my mp3s on it so i sold it on.. milltek sounds cool, gotta quote for £400 from roadrunner, notts some time ago ill have a look see if its gone down in price.
