APR RSC Exhaust, anyone on here have one?
« on: 07 October 2008, 10:45 »
Im leaning towards the APR RSC full TBE on my ED30, rather than the Milltek.
Does anybody have one fitted or have any experience of APR's after sales
service etc.

They look like a quality bit of kit, If I can get a good deal, I;ll probably have the
APR Remap at the same time.

Any comments appreciated!

Cheers

Rich.

I saw the APR zorst on a Cupra at Awesome and it is a real piece of art.

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe it has a 100cell cat rather than the 200 cell cat that the Milltek uses :undecided:

Cheers guys, I think I'm gonna ring round a few dealers to see if anyone has a MKV with one fitted,
Awesome is a bit of a trek for me, but It seems like they are well respected in Golf Land, so it may
be worth it!!

Only two dealers in the country have this exhaust fitted - Awesome in Manchester, and Tuningwerkes in South Croydon.

I have been to see it once, and am going again tomorrow. It is a lovely piece of kit.

PM me if you want to know more about it, I know quite a bit now!

I will probably buy it tomorrow!!

Chris.

£90 not bad, I was expecting a bit more than that!

Have you had a demo of one yet, just interested to know how it sounds, I do a fair bit of
commuting, up and down the M5, so don't want anything too loud!!!!

Is that just for the catback?
Without traction power is nothing!

Fitting price was for the full turbo-back!

Sound: It is a very quiet system, unless you are on WOT (Wide Open Throttle). In terms of normal driving, you can hardly hear it inside the car, however once you hammer it, then it becomes louder. Even inside the car when hammering it, it is not intrusively loud. (all of the aforementioned comments are with the windows up)

However, if you open the windows, then you can hear the exhaust. And when you are flooring it, it is really quite loud, and people will definitely hear you coming!!! Holding 70mph on a motorway it is much quieter than the stock system.

It makes a lovely noise - it has a rasp to it similar to an E46 M3 / motorbike!!!
