As clarkson and Jason plato said, "if i was going to turn up at a party, its the only hothatch he would do"

Well put.. everyone loves the golf!! Even my Focus ST friend has finally admitted its a superior car... and will be his next purchase

you are making inference based on one guy?   That's huge sample bias!
I know plenty of people that would not buy GTI or E30, and prefer CTR, for example.

2 Guys actually. Jason Plato and my mate
Yeah, Plato is a journalist.
Did he vote with his money? What does he drive in real life?

Plato a journalist??? NO!!

Dude your trying to make some kind of debate because I agreed with someone elses quote and then passed on the sentiments of a friend who probably knows alot more about hot hatches than alot of people. All I said was "everyone loves the golf" as a generalisation. No need to nit pick!

Anyway it doesnt matter its my opinion.. and the deciding vote... GOLF's RULE!!!

Right.
If you you your offroader properly, I have nothing against it.
I am against huge offroaders in the city. (Especially when women drive them, actually.  :lipsrsealed: )

I do not make debates.
I know who Plato is, in fact i have seen his test of GTI a hundred times, and I have it saved in my favourites on youtube. It was very nice what he said about taking girlfriend to a club in GTI and "you bet you should" buy it over CTR.
But he is also a journalist on TV.
Anyway, I chose my E30 before I saw his test. I mean, I saw picture of GTI on the web and I liked it right away, then I strolled into a dealership with my boss, I saw a white E30, and I said - I want THAT. My boss took a picture of me sitting behind the wheel and sent it to me with subscription "the face of a very happy guy".
