As clarkson and Jason plato said, "if i was going to turn up at a party, its the only hothatch he would do"

Well put.. everyone loves the golf!! Even my Focus ST friend has finally admitted its a superior car... and will be his next purchase

you are making inference based on one guy?   That's huge sample bias!
I know plenty of people that would not buy GTI or E30, and prefer CTR, for example.

2 Guys actually. Jason Plato and my mate

I would say that they dont pull. I think most girls dont even know that its GTI, its just a Golf in their eyes (obviously you get a few that are clued up with cars   )

e.g. i know a girl that said to a guy "Oh, nice Audi TT you have there"

.......................he didn't have a TT - he had an R8...!!

I think if you have a car that girls actually would like for themselves then thats whats going to make you pull, i.e. a TT, Z4, SLK, MINI. But then, you sacrifice being called g*y or hairdressers by blokes I guess...

fully agree with every word.
Audi TT pulls women for sure! Also the Mini Cooper. ("oooh, so cute!")

You are spot on there Pesky mate.  I had to have my amulet red TT roadsters bonnet resprayed due to banging girls over the bonnet without making them take their jeans off fully. Those damn rivets!

I had a glove box full of panties that I used to keep as "souveniers", my workmate hitched a lift home once and was sniffing them on the way home, ewww .
Some were used to "mop up" as leather stains!

Sensational

Yeah, Plato is a journalist.
Did he vote with his money? What does he drive in real life?

hmm... ive noticed a bit of an increase in ladies recently...

Ive noticed girls seem to stare at me in this car, my test for a nice car is my step mum if i'm honest... she only goes for utter class, she even thinks some of the ferraris are a bit ott and prefers the new maserati...

she loved the gti when she saw it!

Think it sometimes kinda scares a guy a girl owning a gti...so I dunno :undecided:

Dinx
the only "girls" in GTI that scare me are the old hags.  :lipsrsealed:
I saw an old lady (skin hanging and all) in R32 the other day.  :lipsrsealed:
Any car with those in scare me...
and as a girl, can honestly say I hate minis - i understand the love for the old mini's but the people whom drive the new ones, get on my nerves.. and I've had quite a few experiences and each one has been a wayne kerr..
don't even get me started on 4x4 drivers...

Dinx

wayne kerr
But wayne kerrs are males, no?
What's wrong with 4x4 drivers?

Personally, I think "jeep"-drivers and BMW-drivers are the worst. "Jeep"-drivers are lulled into a sense of superiority and safety because of size. BWM-drivers simply feel superior for some reason.  When I see another lowered,  fock-off-shiny wheels, darkened windows Bimmer with a guy in a baseball cap who you hardly see behind the wheel acting "cool", I just wanna

Oi. I have never felt safer in any car than my Jeep.Just the size of it ppl thought twice about pulling out on me.I could see further at Junctions, even more so when turning left and the guy/gal at the side was turning right.See right over them.Traded it it for my first Golf GTI,lost that vision,tw4ts pulling out on me,that stigma where everybody wants to race you,As for the sense of superiority, nah dude, not with the Jeep.I confess to having a touch now tho.
