Just had some news about my Mk2....

....Mechanic Nick replaced the belt & tensioner, but the valves are bent  :-\

So he's ordered new uns, and I gotta ring him back in a couple of weeks to see if theres been any more damage found once he's taken the head apart.

Total cost so far...including valves.......?190  :o ;D

sorry to here that dubby!!!!, bummer

i bent over 10 of my 20v's and was gonna cost me a packet so a secondhand head was the answer!!! LOL, have reassembled and got running but roujgh and misfiring, waiting for garage to get back as they have repaired and are waiting to make a gasket to fit my inlet trumpets to the new turbo head then it will idle properly otherwise its running ok now (thank fook!!) geezeers at garage makin a temop gasket to get sorted for mot and to run temp, and im makin a new alloy gasket on the millin machine at work on mon night!! so job sorted, havent sorted price yet! hopin not tooo dear as spent ?400 on parts already!! (but can make some back on parts!!)
