golf mk5 front lights

hi, cant find any threads about mk5 angel eyes, any1 help or point me in the right direction?

im looking for a set of angel eyes, but there are so many different types, just wanted advice on the best ones to get and what to avoid..

Couple of extra's to think about.

The indicators are egg yellow as standard, but I changed them for silvered ones.

Similarly you may want to think about swapping out the sidelights for blue ones so they match the LED DRL's

The motors from the standard OEM lights need swapping onto the new headlight units too.

thanks hurdy, are they hard to fit? how do you swap the motors over? also do they lights have the blue tint or the yellow tint?

I had them fitted for "free" by Awesome when they were doing some other mods. The front end has to come off and the motors are a bit of a bugger by all accounts (I think Komenda did his own!). The angel eyes have a blue tint. See below (pic whore! )

oh ok, i might try and fit them myself, cant be too hard, what are the motors actually for?

Yes mine are the same as those, but it now looks like they supply the indicator light in a better colour

The motors are to use the auto raise and lower of the lights from inside the car. It is standard on VW's and the control is to the left of the headlight control, and next to the internal light dimming switch
