And this week I'll be driving.....
« on: 20 May 2004, 11:53 »
my flatmates Renault 5 (1.1)  :'(

... and the good news is that my golf will be out of the bodyshop late next week having had a re-spray and 90 spec bodykit fitted, new injectors and timing setup correctly alongside a new clutch and a couple of injectors  :D

... meanwhile I've removed my interior and it's gone to MJ for a black leather re-trim with white stitch and VW detailing.  ;D

Now to find a dealer for ICE - I want a screen upfront to entertain one of my best friends  8)whilst I bring her to and from university in Luton (173 miles from Bradford where I am).  Any recommendations?

Regards

Ian

Too late, bought a screen now  ;D... definately on a mission with my baby.  Want her to be nice and luxurious and all round nice ride for the Summer.

Got an 8" widescreen from www.flyonthewall.uk.com. Just gotta get a DC>AC inverter to fit the PS2 for dvd/gaming.

Also would you guys be able to recommend any sites which give quite detailed information on creating your own fibreglass installs?

Thanks in advance

Ian

My first car before the Golf was a mk3 Fiesta - 1.0 - 4 gears and although fun at the time (forgive me I knew no different) I got sick of blowing the engines.  Went through 2 engines within a year and decided that enough was enough when an old friend gave me the golf.

The golf is a 1.8 8v on a '88 plate and had been off the road for nearly 2 years, no tax or mot and looked a shed but with a 1.8 lump under the bonnet I decided it was time to start investing in a proper car... nearly a year later and it's getting there  ;D

She's gonna feel so much faster when I get her back if not for the timing setting up properly for the fact I'll have gottedn used to this crappy Renault.

Just bought clear front indicators and fogs for new bumper and need to buy another 2x12" subs for the boot to sit alongside my 15" JBL and a few sets of comps in front and back.

Hopefully my screen will arrive in the morning so have to start looking into building a custom dash mount for it at same time as doing custom sub/amp build and parcel shelf.

Getting there  :)

I've not got the price list mate, just went down to see him as he's only down the road from me, literally within a mile or two and only 3 roads  ;D

Check out his website, some nice Golfs outside his shop last week.  Very nice.

Yeah Gibby, driving around Bradford mate.  I live in Bolton Woods just down the road from VR VW's.

Driving an alpine white 8v Gti on F plate.

Got Kahn lookalike 17's and tints and looks a little rough at the moment (hence why it's on bodyshop for respray)

Hey Mirage, I lived in Yeadon until a recent split with the girlfriend, I'm currently back at my mothers in Daisy Hill (near the BRI), driving a green mk1 Rivage cab, we'll have to have a meet sometime and if I ever get to any shows we can have a blast down in mini convoy !  ;D
