Lexus/BMW Numberplate lights?

Has anyone seen some of those new Lexus with like the xenon style rear numberplate lighting? I think some of the bmw's have it too?

Anyone know what it is? Is it just a bulb?

yes its just a xenon look blulb they are usually led thats why the lights is so white

^^^ Yep the new BMW's all use LED's on the numberplates and door handle lighting, does look better than the cheapo yellow bulbs

I think you can get LED versions of the C5W type numberplate bulbs that fits the MK5 from eBay.

is the numberplate bulb definitely a c5w?
