Speak to David Hawkins mate, I know he's chipped his 8v and it flies...

think he did it quite cheaply as well  ;)

From what i have read its only really worth getting a car chiped if its turbo/super charged or if a lot of modifications have been done as chipping is quite expensive.

Has the car had a lot of engine mods done to it?

This is where Dave got his from: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9889&item=2477976172&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

I bought one too but haven't got round to fitting it yet.

The prices that superchips charge are too high, bear in mind that a blank rewritable chip would only cost a ?10 or so, and so if you had access to a Eprom reader/writer (saw them for around $300 dollars) you could copy a remapped chip for next to nothing!
