Another Arrrrhhhhhhh from an ED30 Owner
« on: 28 September 2008, 18:50 »
Fortunately not as bad as some others, but still my week was well and truly finished off today after curbing a wheel on Tuesday I had a stone go through my near side fog light today

Having the wheel refurbed on Friday not also want to get the fog light sorted before next weekend's RR day as it wouldn't be right not having the old girl looking her best

Seen a few Fog lights listed on fleabay but not sure if the ones for the GTI/ED30 are the same as the normo Golfs, does anyone know???

Bad luck.  I managed to smash one of mine a while back.  They are a fairly cheap part.  £45 if i remember correctly and as mine is a 2005 gti it has the more expensive projection foglights, so yours should be even cheaper

Umm does look a bit odd  :undecided:

I will give the dealers a ring in the morning to find out what the genuine parts costs

Feel for ya,....I had a day like the week you've had with my ed30,.....got stuck in mental traffic on Friday so decided to pull over and have some grub only to open my door on to a barrier, after which I then managed to leave the car park and kerb my alloy only to stop at a petrol station to damage my front wing while filling up with water!!!

So in a nut shell,.....understand your pain!!!

Yes they say match shouldn't be a problem as they have done a few other Edition 30's, it's being organised via my dealers and it's going to be around £55 for one wheel.

I know it's a third party company they use so will find out who they for future reference
