Inters spending - Updated pics of the MK2
« on: 17 May 2004, 12:31 »
Here you go, some updated pics with the parts a got from Inters. It's a bit dirty by my standards, so high resolution digi pics wasn't probably the best idea!

What do you guys'n' gals think so far? Few more bits and bobs left yet too :)

Doh .... underneath they're pretty much Identical, so you could 'downgrade' if you saw it that way ofcourse ;)

Everyone has big bumpers these days, so it's a nice way to stand out - especially if you can get these chrome 'GL' small bumpers. Just need to get rid of that red strip down the side now ... ran out of time over the weekend  :(

Yup ... but seeing as our flat is in town, we don't have a garden or garage or anything for prep / spray work where I could leave things to dry safely.

So it was done in the front room on the coffee table with plenty of newspaper and everything covered in blankets - got what a mess spraying in an enclosed area can make !!

I got a beating for it as you can guess, but considering the finish it was more than worth it :)

Masking off the bottom of the grill was the hardest bit though  :-[

Just waitin for the funds to be available on the credit card then I'll be booking the tickets - cath's up for it again, so hopefully you'll see us both for the whole weekend ...  ;D

Really pleased with the grill now ... blends in so much better than before. I'm a gr8 fan of the subtle look that the whole veedub scene promotes. Much better than let's see how much colour coded plastic we can lash on you get with most other scenes.

Bling, bling, looking great and very shiny, nice  ;D

When it's looking that good don't you fancy putting any armour door plates on ? I wish someone had told me about them before some toerag had a go at my handles a couple of months ago  :( Just a thought.
......now officially dubless.
