VSS Wiring on 16v
« on: 28 September 2008, 10:35 »
Hi ive put a new loom in 16v, nicked one from a 16v toledeo, but the wiring for the sppedeo sensor in the gearbox is wrong, it has a two pin connection when mines a 3 pin, after looking at diagrams i take it the sensor has a earth, ingtion live, then one to the speedeo, am i correct or does it go through the ecu?, the signal one from the vss to the speedeo looks like it just connects up to pin 27 on the instrument cluster or something, anybody done this before?

yeah i did trace a wire, blue and white i think to the fusebox area, the funny thing is the speedeo is acting as a rev counter aswell, strange
