Feels slow!

Got a mk2 8v digifant and the car is awsome! well from gears 1-4 anyway,but when i change to 5th the revs seem to drop pretty low and this is where it just seems to strugle to pick up speed again.Seems to be less torque in 5th instead of pulling nicely
Any sugestions boyos!

may need tuning look on the search tab above loads of info on previous threads. 8v's also tend to have more torque lower down the rev range so when you get to 5th the powers just not there. Get your self a valver better mid range torque.

that sounds like a 4+e gearbox to me  how meany revs you doing in 5th at 70mph

5th is an economy gear, it's not meant to give acceleration, as you use it for cruising at motorway speed.

gotta keep the revs up if your givin it some whelly goes like stink, my 1990 8v pulls like a train in all gears ....lets not get into the 8v 16v debate ( again  ) horses for courses
