Constantly flashing temp light
« on: 26 September 2008, 10:59 »
Got a 91 plate 8V mk2, and the temp light on the dash is constantly flashin, oil is good , plenty of coolant , and temp gauge is showing as normal so not overheating .. I've disconnected all the sensors I can see in the engine bay one by one and there has been no change it still flashes .

Any Ideas what to check for ??

The sensor is the one in the top of the coolant expansion tank. Unplug it and bridge the terminals in the connector. If the light goes out then you know it's dead.
