RemapsThere are various remaps that are available. Revo tends to be a popular one, with the select switch you can change between maps. There are many remap companies out there and all do a very similar job. Remapping an ED30 makes a massive difference and is a definate must in my book. All come in around £500.
LSDI would love a limited slip diff. Quaife and Peloquin do one and both do a similar job. I get wheelspin all the way through 2nd in the dry and in the wet I have had wheelspin in 4th at 80mph

An LSD would make a massive difference to the overall performance of the car . I think they are about £1200-£1300 fitted.
ExhaustI have a full milltek non-res turbo-back on mine. It made a massive difference straight away, it felt like the engine could breathe a lot more. It makes a massive difference if you have it done with the map. I had my map tailored to suit the milltek, this gives the best BHP gains. The noise that it makes is great! The resonated does not sound that much different than the standard system which is why I went for the non-res. It is completely sedate when driving normally but when being pushed it emits some wonderful notes. Just getting a cat-back will not make much difference in performance, the only think that will change is the noise, as long as you go for non-res. If you are going to do it you may as well do it properly and go for thr full system. Mine cost me just under £1200 fitted.
BrakesThe brakes are quite a let down on the ED30. I have an R32 set up which im waiting to put on mine. There are a few sets floating round e-bay. I got mine for £400 (front and backs) plus £80 for powdercoating them red and an additional £100 for fitting. This is a relatively cost effective way of improving the stock system on the ED30. There are aftermarket kits such as AP racing that do kits for the GTI but you are into the realms of big money there which I do not have to spend. I am sure Red Robin can elaborate more on such systems.
