The W12 had the 3 gauges, giving boost, oil readings etc.. in a pod in the middle of the dash. If you look really closely you can see this pod is present on the dash  :smug:

....

Between us all, I think we have now established beyond any doubt that the posted image is a Photoshop/CG.

Agreed RR, BUT if the GTIR looked something laong these lines would it be good? I think a resounding yes and I reckon this is a good PS for the simple fact VW know the W12 was very well recieved so basing the R design on it would be a good thing. This PS also seems to look a little like a MKIV R.

If the actual R comes along and looks a bit like this it'll be a winner.

....Agreed :afro: but subject to how heavier the car feels to drive with AWD. Isn't the criticism of the Audi S3 (unmodified version) with 265 bhp 2.0T that it feels a bit dull to drive compared with the GTI? Such criticisms are common and from many independent sources so I am inclined to believe them. I've got a new S3 drive coming up but it's a modified version.

I found this pic on a german site, and it looks quite good, except now we have seen the Xennons on the GTi mk6 I'm not sure its a good picture of the GTI-R.

What do you reckon?

Liking the look of them alloys, love rims that bend out from the centre (have these got a real name)?

Whats going on with the V6 engine this time? R32?

....The info that VW have killed off the V6 in a Golf has been public for some time.

Now this I like.

No red stripe around the grill looks great. A bit more purposeful, less boyracer.

I know it’s PhotoChop but it looks great.

It had some of going for a bit though

Are the W12 rims 19's?

As it has been said many times that the new GTi will have 18's standard and 19' options, but we are yet to see an options list for the mk6 GTi.
