yeah youtube VR6T wow, some of them kicking out 500bhp+ beats lambo's, etc mmmmmmmmmmm

sorry to get off the subject even more, but seen the mk1 golf hayabusa - best golf ive seen!!!! the hr engineering one. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want it so badly

Ok but realistically, you would be looking at, what, 300bhp from VR6T?

m8 my local dub forum has r32 and for a full professional turbo conversion was £10000. but then it would be kicking out some serious bhp and would decimate all!

VR6 ftw m8, just sell the mk4 to tune the vr. On the same local forum, another guy had a supercharged vr and it was lush, not sure on bhp, but was very quick!! seen it at shows, etc too  mint

LL ;)

You sure the 1.8T is running as it should her indoors has one and its sure not flat doesn`t have the balls out grunt of my VR but it is a cracking lump not been messed with so would imagine a tuned 20v T is a good bit of fun.Had one of those Swift GTi`s about 10yrs ago now that thing was very suprising for a 1.3 awesome little thing that was.

I would say keep the VR and spend the money that you get from the 18t on tuning it. But thats my opinion... and im not a mk4 man!

Only if they made the 1.8t in a mk3 then we wouldnt have this dilemma!!
Tbh from the figures guys have been putting on here about what mpg they get outta there vr's then the 1.8t is more economical even with a remap?? shame it has the Mk4 shell round it!!  :lipsrsealed: but if fuel isnt an issue keep ur mk3, maybe worth putting a 1.8t into the mk3??? people have done conversions fairly cheaply

vr6 v 1.8t is like chalk and cheese!! the vr is a better engine for crusing and low down grunt (and sound ), but the 1.8t is more lively when the turbo is spinning (and more tuneable) I would have a word with r-tec on here and see what they can do with the mk4 before deciding....

Sell the vr lump.. spend the money you get from that on sorting the 1.8t and then drop the 1.8t in the mk3 - problem solved!
