Welcome to the site, looks like a quality car you have there

Arches: where they will have rolled the metal it leaves nothing for the rivets to fit into that would have held the plastic arch on. You need to bond them to the body instead. The bodyshop will know what to use.

Handles: the 'chinese' ones are a very new thing, most likely modified mk2 rear door handles. mk3 handles are not an easy swap. If it's going in the bodyshop how about early or late Audi handles? It's a common swap that does need a lot of cutting and welding but it looks great. Or just stick to rear mk2 ones for ease.

trim: I would probably keep the door trim. The arches have a section that is connected with the bit on the front wing. That would need cutting and smoothing to keep tidy.

Other ideas: transporter wing vent cut into the wing - pretty common but looks good. TT fuel cap cut into place - big mods but would look trick

don't do the TT fuelcap thing... too many Nova's with plastic clip-on ones... makes it look cheap.

Audi handles look v good, but are apparently quite a bit of work.

How does the car handle with wider rear tyres?

I know I've got a Mk3, but sure this is applicable to the Mk2's as well: I find the car drifts pretty smoothly with even front/rear wheels(205/40/17's) and would have thought you'd be inviting understeer with larger back wheels... plus unless that's one seriously modified car, it's front wheel drive, so that's where your accelerating, braking and turnign are all done... back wheels are just along for the ride really...

TBH I dont want to use any other handles, If i could weld sure i could take my time and cut and weld etc to get fancy handles on but the body shops are all thieving scum would charge an arm and a leg.

Wing vents always liked this idea. Again i want to car on the road quick, maybe in future when my engine conversion happens.

Handling on my mk2 is awesome, i cant explain it,  u can actually tell when the back starts twiching, so much fun. The larger rear alloys were a show thing, not a performance thing.
