The price of new R32 came down last month by almost £2500. The dealers are just adjusting their used stock to suit. The reduced car you mentioned will undoubtably now be below what it cost them (sadly us dealers don't have that kind of margin) but often it is better to sell out of a car at a loss and use the funds elsewhere - on four used Polos for example.

What's your best price for cash?

Seriously though - £12.5k trade in - if you are lucky
Thats Brilliant!!!

Seeing as I dont own mine... when it comes to giving it back (Sept 09) I will be able to make them a rediculous offer for it. About 10-12k would be ideal. Which in real money means I have had a R32 from new (list price of £28k) for a total cost of 18k. Which equates to a saving of about £10k if I'm lucky!!

I think that should be just enough for me to look up HPA

Well done R32UK hope it works out like that, chances are though the robbin' btards will probably try to fleece you for £18k

Perhaps for a laugh you should see how much it would cost you for an early settlement with a view to purchase, if its an option.

Be awary of your end of lease costs, audi stuffed me for an alloy scuff and a trim repaint (completely unseen and under the bumper!) ended up they wanted £700 or so, I proved that the car was taken to auction and the work was NOT done, they backed down and I gave them a token payment to get rid of the hassle.

Would that I could get an 07 DSG for £12k or less the way the stealers seem to be able to.  :lipsrsealed:

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)

Yeah had them try to do that a few times to me too... so usually get my mechanic to touch up all the little bits on the outside before I drive it through a muddy field

From what I gather from previous experiences the dealers usually just want the book trade price (what it will start at in auction). Which has previously meant I can buy the car and sell for a small profit privately. So if dealer are knocking them out at 12k this time next year I can hope to pay alot less than that thankfully.

Lets just hope prices keep tumbling :lipsrsealed:
