iPod/iPhone App Dynolicious?
« on: 21 September 2008, 18:11 »
Anyone used this app?
Any ideas on transmission loss in % for the Mk5 GTI/Ed30?

There's a youtube video showing how accurate it is:

Might be good for a laugh?

I think this was covered in a thread a while ago  :undecided:

The :nerd: in me is a little skeptical that the accelerometer in the iPhone/iPod touch is good enough to produce accurate results.

If it could also use the GPS receiver of the iPhone 3G then it might be more believable.

But for the price I have considered sticking it on my iPhone for a bit of fun.

Exactly....
I'm not looking for 100% results, just a bit of fun.

I know what the car should be producing and will know for sure at the JKM day but for a bit of fun considered buying the app.

Need to know the losses tho... google seems to say between 15% and 22% for FWD cars.

Power loss calculation in the link below.

Bare in mind that it is a rough calculation and not an exact science
