Finally! Proper pics of my car!
« on: 21 September 2008, 13:48 »
Was meant to take decent pics of the car on the day I bought it but it began raining. Didn't have the time the next day despite it being sunny. Then the weekend I planned to take some piccies, I managed to scrape it, neccessitating a respray. Since then, I've been busy every weekend.

Finally, today I was free of all commitments. Woke up early (~7am) to start detailing. Don't have much in the way of equipment so did what I could. Washed, dried and clayed car. Windows and rubber were cleaned. By the time I got to the alloys, I was so tired (partly because of having to squat), I gave up a proper claying of the wheels. Will have to redo them the next weekend I'm free. Don't have a hosepipe/jet wash/polisher so the results aren't fantastic but I'm happy with what I've done today.

Must remember to park away from that tree next time - every time I clayed the front, some crap would land on the bonnet.

I'm just glad to have some decent photos six weeks after I picked up my car.

MMMMMMMMM  Black ED30's do look lovely when freshly detailed don't they

Has photobucket reduced the size of the pics as they have a bit of noise on sharp edged highlights?

Are you using anything to reduce the pic sizes before downloading to photobucket? If so what?

I use photoshop to reduce the sizes before putting them on photobucket otherwise I get the same noise on the edges.

Flickr seems to have a better set up for downloading native resolution pics and I've thought about changing to them a few times.

Sorry about the slightly off-topic bit, but it is partially relevant

Car is meant to be pearlescent black (I think) but the camera didn't pick it up well.

Reduced the images in paintshop pro before uploading just to reduce the size of the images. Didn't seem to come out as well but the original images are beautiful.

That is stunning.  Jealous of the blackness.
