well nearly, driving home from work today my 8v suddenly cut out, (luckily only 100 meters away from my local vw specialist,) thought id have a quick look under bonnet before running to the garage, what i found was a 17 year old 'king' lead (the one that goes from coil to dizzy)that had corroded so badly from the inside and shorted out and caught fire. Thankfully i managed to put the small fire out and the garage towed me back and replaced the lead for £20, top blokes. and what a difference that lead has made,much better spark. if u havnt changed yours yet then do it now, Ht leads are next and then being set up on a rolling road
