A Dutch tuner is offering a 470 bhp tuning package  for the standard 2.0 TFSI, and is working on a > 500 bhp package: http://www.xs4all.nl/~jdengine/html/jd-powerpack.html

I don't know how the driveability is, and as most engine parts are replaced whether you can still talk about 'tuning' of the TFSI block. And price, well for the 416 bhp package it is already around 20.000 Euro...

An Ed30 chipped sounds like the sweet spot regarding price vs performance.

Oh and front tyres can be made to last. Still on my originals on 13k with 5mm left and I don't exactly fanny about..  :wink: I reckon the bloody things are made from tungsten carbide..  :shocked:

i have done 20k on my original tyres and have been to the ring on them and cadwell park and still have 4mm left  :shocked: they just wont die  :grin: and i do try  :laugh:

420bhp is not the problem, its the torque figure that triggers the wheel spin, that why they have tuned the car in that way.. (notice the low torque figure)

I think that would be perfectly drivable with an LSD and sticky tyres.. :)

Heres a quick video of my S3 with 417bhp & 356ft/lbs

Granted it had 4wd but gives you an idea of the acceleration, from 10mph in 1st to 7000rpm in 3rd! :)

Good to see the people on here appreciate that 400bhp+ is too much in a FWD car. You should read some of the comments posted by numpties on places like VW Vortex.

Ps. What's this 'wheelspin' thing everyone keeps referring to?
