....230-ish is just right isn't it Phil? :afro:

The most ponies I've driven on a Mk5 GTI is 290-ish and that's absolutely fine and enough imo for practical driveability on public roads.

im happy, just wish it would sound abit nicer

I wonder if that GTI with the big turbo feels like Porsche 911 3.3 Turbo (930) in its power delivery....

It looks pretty brutal upto about 4,500rpm.

Is it a DSG car? a GT30 equipped 2.0TFSI should achieve more than 350lb/ft of torque i would have thought!

Sorry, its a manual.

And he states he wants an uprated clutch, and an LSD - and yes, the Quaiffe has been mentioned.

Noway Jose!  I'll hang around here for looong time going forward. That is independent from whether I get a Bimmer or not.
E30 will stay in my heart for the rest of my life. But that does not mean there is no room for improvement, and I do not mean just tuning. I mean WHOLE package change.

I love this place, this forum. I hope the old timers will stay here for a long time, that is TT, RR, Hurdy, you, joesgti, etc (sorry guys, do not remember all of you). When they are gone, I am gone.

320bhp is fine in FWD with the right control. But 420 would be a bit OTT in anything under 4th gear I would imagine..
Oh and front tyres can be made to last. Still on my originals on 13k with 5mm left and I don't exactly fanny about..  I reckon the bloody things are made from tungsten carbide..

I've heard of 500hp SAABs in Sweden! Now, those things must be hell to drive in winter times.

420....
ain't it a bit... aaah.... too much?  For FWD, that is? :lipsrsealed:

....I'd be inclined to agree, even without the benefit of registering on the linked site. Wheelspin in 6th anyone?

Its all about throttle control!

....Yes I know how important throttle control is but 420 for everyday road use isn't very practical, or should I say comfortable, is it.
