420....
ain't it a bit... aaah.... too much?  For FWD, that is? :lipsrsealed:

....I'd be inclined to agree, even without the benefit of registering on the linked site. Wheelspin in 6th anyone?

Its all about throttle control!

Too right.

There is one Seat Ibiza (polo chassis) that will be running close to 600bhp in FWD mode soon. 1.8T and a GT35R turbo.

There is also another one that has a GT30 and has about 450bhp. Grip can be a problem but boy does it go when it finds some!

....230-ish is just right isn't it Phil? :afro:

The most ponies I've driven on a Mk5 GTI is 290-ish and that's absolutely fine and enough imo for practical driveability on public roads.

I admire Phil for defending what he has to the last drop of blood. (kinda).
When it was blue GTI - that was the best car. E30? Forget about it!
Now he has red E30, so that's the car to defend.
Wait till he succumbs to remap epidemics, then 300+ he'll have will be THE RIGHT THING.

(Phil, do not delete me, I love this forum too much!)

I guess new tyres every coplathousand miles is no problem for these drivers.

OK, I'll relay the details.

2007 Ed30 3dr left hooker owned by MRC Tuning.
Basic mods: Bilstein PSS10s, custom Milltek 3" TBE without cats, and the Forge twintercooler, and their own custom map.

Serious mods: one huge BFO turbo - GT3071R if that means anything.  Also bigger injectors and bigger fuel pump

And the result - one awesome tool:

I wonder if that GTI with the big turbo feels like Porsche 911 3.3 Turbo (930) in its power delivery....

Is it a DSG car? a GT30 equipped 2.0TFSI should achieve more than 350lb/ft of torque i would have thought!

nice tho!
