2.0T Audi A4 v Golf GTTDI 150

right, i was on my way to Leeds centre a bit back from the dentist (had a gold tooth fitted ) i was on a dual carrage way coming into the city in the MK 4 GTTDI 150 when some fit bird in a audi 2.0T A4 decided to try and race me, i just let her go, but when we came to a roundabout she had hung on, im guessing waiting for me  , anyhow i was in second gear round the round about, we both dropped the foot as we moved on the the dual carrageway, the golf left the audi (after a brief moment of been side by side), i was pretty suprised, what bhp are the 2.0T Audi's??, the golf was deffothe  much stronger of the two...

Think they're about 200BHP. Suprised you left it in a mk4 TDI, but you Golf's always suprise you. What's quicker your mk3 GTi, or the mk4TDI?

the mk 4 is faster than the mk 3, although the mk 3 can be left in gears alot lower down in the rev range where as the GTTDI can catch u off boost if your not carefull

My mk3 is have a 20vt transplanted and then remapped at some point soon tho

I'd say the mk4 feels a lot quicker!

Anyway it was a bird driving the audi... that says it all

she was giving it some....and enjoyin it but yeah guess so, the TDI's are really powerfull things tho

Ah fair play to her! But yea they are.. Had a go in my mates a few months ago and was very surprised with how well it went tbh!

It's all about torque and mid-range grunt in the TDi's That things got 235 lb ft of torque ffs!

The tdi will have loads of low down grunt, but in a drag race the 2.0T should win.
