heated seats
« on: 16 September 2008, 08:58 »
Hi guys,

i have a r reg vr6, the heated seats on it work fine and warm up when on max number 5

the thing is that i sat in my mates passat which has heated seats, i turned the dials up to max 5 for the heat and my ass was very very hot, and it was nice lol

my question is why arnt my seats as hot as my mates, could it be that fact that his is a modern newer car its a 54 plate

is there anything that could be done to make mine hotter coz his were very hot compared to mine

thanks

i dont know anything about heated seats before i start.

But i presume its the same principle as a toaster..... over time it wears out, dont get as hot as easy.

You COULD sell the seats on ebay, and then buy some more of the same, that might work better IF yours are worn out, which they might not be.

As said, i know nothing about how they work, but i reckon they could just be used, and the elements or whatever they use are worn.

Thats my penny :S

Mikester pretty well hit the nail on the head.

Mine are the same, just 'tired', could do with sourcing new heating pads but god knows from where! :undecided:

 Everything the dealers sort out is expensive when you're talking about £60ish per hour.

are these easy to fit to a car that don't have it, or what is involved?
