« on: 16 September 2008, 00:09 »
Hi guys..... this is my first post and any feedback would really really be appreciated.

im gona be buying a mk2 golf gti 16v nex month off a mate and its got the original rainbow interior... i wanted to know if the seats from a mk4 3 door would fit into the mk2 simply because im getting the seats as cheap as chips lol if not any suggestions of other cars that have half decent seats that could go into the mk2???

corrado front seats!! they are lower down then golf ones so give you a bit better driving position, thats my plan for the future, a whole corrado interior set in my mk2

where there is a will there is a way. as long as they phsyically fit side by side then its just a case of bolting down the subframes. id guess the rest of a mk4 interior would be pretty usless without serious fabrication though?

Mk4 Recaro frames need cuting and re-welding to narrow the track. But it doesn't look too expensive.

I think Chantuz got MK4 (might be MK3) Recaro's in her MK2, she got a mate to help put em in. Look in Dub projects or something.

Got mk4 fronts in mine and back seats are going in soon, nothing an angle grinder and welder can't fix :) They don't just bolt in though :D

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

If you fit a 5 door interior, people won't be able to get in the back seat of your 3 door very easily without the lever to lower the front seat.
