Do we really NEED all those stickies?

When I open the mk5 forum now, I have to scroll past a whole screen of sticky topics.
Some of which are pointless... like a mk5 R32 review?

....A whole screen? :shocked: - How small is your monitor?

Can't you revise your viewing Preferences in your Personal settings? (I don't know if so or not but you can on some forums)

Can we make this a sticky  :grin:

The idea is instant access to frequently asked question's and to save starting similar threads, peeps dont always press search.  :nerd:
i don't find it hard to scroll down past them though  :shocked:

t does take up the majority of my screen too, especially on the iPhone, it would be nice to loose some

Screen is a Macbook pro @ 1440x900 so not small, but tbh...

Why do we need a thread on how to use a fecking automatic gearbox? or an R32 review thread where the last post was May 2008 etc.

and as the for "OMG Another brilliant Road" wtf has that got to do with Mk5s? Surely it should be in a different subforum let alone a sticky topic.

Sorry, it's lust something that puts me off reading the forum as I like to have a quick glance of active topics, rather than scrolling past a load of stickies that have absolutely no appeal to me.

If that really is the case... then lets have 1 thread called "MK5 FAQ" with link to those threads.

Since when has an R32 review been a MK5 GTI FAQ though?

....I agree about a tidy-up to help folks. I think though that iPhone etc users are asking a bit much to expect a fuller display on such a tiny screen.

The r32 review is the 10th most viewed post on this forum of all time, generates a lot of traffic so that will stay... i'll tidy a few of the others out though. The mk5 section doesn't needs it's own image posting guide for example.
