mine must have been replaced cars done 150k and is 12 years old.

well hopefully your magnex will fit your standard system, mine didnt because the bit you have to cut was on a bend on mine, and the original equiplemt one is apparently straight....

they fit the exhaust as 1 piece in the factory.... and I'm guessing this is bolted on before the axles get attached? The main problem with this is when some places have chopped the o.e system to fit another back box and they chop them at different lenghts/places...making another exhaust piece harder to fit.
oh yeah mines stamped vw (oh I also have the vw dealer reciept) and it has got a 16v middle box fitted! (not what you want when you buy an 8v backbox from germany!! :angry:)
So currently my exhaust is 4 piece from cat back!!

on mine it comes out middle box bends the straight bit the bends over rear axle beam then into the backbox
