just bought 2 magnex back box's thought it would be easy

just bought 2 magnex back box's thought it would be a simple diy job to get them fitted got to cut the old box away then measure to get the magnex to fitt. only bought them cause they was cheap 75 quid each brand new. Magnex is going bankcrupt. so things are going cheap if you know where to look

magnex have gone, closed, i have had one on mine for a while, ended up getting rest of system made up in stainless and did away with centre box, couldnt get mine to fit it, magnex did the pattern on the Original equipment system and mine must have had a new centre section at some point in its life

mines all orignal vag exhaust under there had a look last nite! but carnt belive it comes as one whole lot.

oh well your laughing then really as it will fit fine, just get a pipe cutter (can get them at halfords, they look like a bike chain on some plyers)  the pipe cuts easy with one of these...

Defo not one whole lot. Had my backbox then suitcase middle box replaced 2 yrs ago (they both went within 6 months) and they were the originals. I have all the history and I can't recall seeing them ever replaced although I could be wrong. Even so, about 65k miles for an exhaust ain't too shabby!

the original box IS 1 piece, well it deffo was on mine (before someone replace the centre part)  maybe they changed the design at some point, i even rang magnex when i was fitting mine and they confirmed the did the pattern on the 1 piece item

only prob with leaving middle box on is the magnex will sound almost the same as the standard box, mine sounds really good without the middle box

will keep middle box there for moment will get removed at some point with a striaght through exhaust! my box is one lot with the middle box then it looks whole complete all the way through

maybe they changed the design at some point, you never know, either that or someone replace with genuine parts (the boxs are avaliable seperate)
