This car is 2 miles from me. I'll tow it for ya if u want? Will use the mk2 to drag it to ya. LEt me know where its at and I'll take a proper look at it for ya if u want?

I even have the tow rope in ma car right now.

In short 'yes', but there's a bit more to it than that. A DCOE carb is a standard design, so technically will fit any car - you just need the bits (well inlet manifold to be exact) to make them fit your engine.

There's a few magical questions you should always ask when buy them that can save you a fortune, and make sure they run right - no vacuum leaks or anything from a bent throttle spindle for examples, and try and buy consecutive serial numbered carbs when buying a pair so they're as close to identical as possible.

If your interested in them i'll give you a list of things to ask the seller and take if from there ...

I bet that wallet is quivering like a 16 year old school girl now  ;D (sorry can't go in to any more detail than that ! - it's a 'family forum')

I might know someone in sandwhich who wud buy it at dble that!! Then I can tow it to them and they can send money on!! Its a vw specialist whos always after a mk1!!
