Hello guys

Alrighty. I may not have have a car (and I admit the GTi belongs to my mom) but at least I am able to contribute to this forum in a positive way unlike many of the other gents here who merely cause trouble. I dont see the big fuss about me not having a car? I know a lot of members who look in the MK5 section and they dont own MK5's. Its the same thing no?

I dont have my drivers license yet and as a 17 year old I dont want a GTi as a first car because the Mk1 and MK2 are almost non existant in South Africa (and according to this forum they are the best so I would want one of those even though I mock them) and the MK3's are driven by the (lowly couloureds with their Barryboys spoilers and neon lights- no offence intended) and the MK4... Well why would I want one of those??

I have been on this forum for almost 2 years now and I like to think that even though I dont own a car yet I can contribute and this is one way I can. I currently own two businesses with one dealing with car detailing, and the other with promotional goods and branding of a variety of products and as a forum member (and as the MK6 is taking over) I think the MK5 guys who are die hard fans (Well most of them are  :lipsrsealed: ) might want something like a calender which I can supply.

But much like most threads in this forum this one has gone completely off topic. The topic is car of the month. Not "MK5 calender" or "lets slag mike off cos he doesnt have a GTi". So does anyone else have any other critism positive or negetive about having a car of the month section which could allow members of this site to win prizes etc?

Maybe a poll should be created?

Mike

p.s- A politician? There is more chance of me buying a Pink Nissan Micra convertible than becoming a Politician

Although I find the pink on the Micra too gentle... I was opting for a more luminous pink to go with me new two tone pink and black outfit

Lola Ferrari and Pamela Anderson. Its the same thing really.

What has it got to do with the original topic? Nothing.

If I buy a Smart car then who cares? You are not the one driving it and I quite like the idea of a car that can get 560 to 700Km out of a 33 litre tank. I quite like a car that has a factory fitted Bose Sound system. I quite like a car that has a 4 out of 5 star safety rating which most cars at its price dont have. I dont quite honestly see the obsession some people feel that makes them comment on what other people want. And I would like a car that wont break down and that is very comfortable and practical as in my business I will spend most of my time in that car.

Lets stay on topic please guys. Im not interested in hearing about how Ghay the Smart car is. Irrespective of your opinion Im still getting one.
