Help, Cars Officially Dead
« on: 11 September 2008, 14:18 »
Afternoon guys,

I'm writing today with a little bit of bad news my valver has decided to completely break!!

I'd had the textbook not starting/stalling problem... turns out the keyway on the crank had gone and now the garage (VW specialist) think all 16v are bent... happy days, espically when the qoute for the work was £1200!!!!

I'm thinking about either breaking the car or putting a new lump in.

Which would you do and why?

If you know of any ABF 2.0 16v lumps around please give me a shout!

Dan

Get a new lump in mate!

As i've said to a few people on here from east midlands area... Theres a vw breakers in derby that specialise in mk1, 2 and 3 golfs. Always get my parts from there and they've never not had anything i've needed, good prices as well!
