mint condition car- only a few rust bubbles that need seeing to.  Getting it for a bargain price of ?1700 aswell. Interior is standard leather, again unmarked. Very very pleased.

Have to decide on a name!

That is a nice car, i used to have a mk1 tintop with a cab interior and those clocks, let the car go cheap years ago as it wasn't a GTI but kinda miss that dash (apart from the gold colour that I wanted to change).  Also let it go with wolfsburg 3 spoke wheel. twit! didn't know its value back then.

just read the thread on gti/gli vixteris siad hers said gti on log book. i am so confused with mine as it states "golf cc convertible convertible" i know it is supposed to have a 1.8i engine in it as the spec stamp on the slam panel is DX.. for the engine. it also has strange cc letters all over the seats. what do i insure it as. at the moment it is insured as cc convertible as that is on the log book.

the roof is dark blue mohair/cloth (not shure the difference) but this may not be original. the roof bag is dark blue but must be original as it has the same strange cc lettering on it. the interior is dark blue with the same strange letters on it and the roof lining is white/grey with same strange letters in it. stickers on the back are cc and another with wb? both in the same style. i would really love to know what it exactly is if nothing else for the insurance.
also is ther any way of getting seat cloth exactly the same as it is now as it is a bit faded.
any idears will be greatefully received thanks.

its definatley a coco chanel, but its not the 'all white' edition. i think finding taht material would be almost impossible now, i did see a set of those cc seats on ebay the other week so they are about but ur gonna have to look out for cc's being broken.

im not sure of the engine spec im afraid. we could have a rce to find out    

if u put ur number plate into www.confused.com im pretty sure it will bring up exact details on ur car - it does mine

engine is 1.8 dx so same as gti but that is all i really knew about it.
so if it is coco da clown does that mean i cant call it a gti .

cool ride dude, just try and get a orig steering wheel as the late spec mk2 jobby just dont look right!!! you should have a 3 spoke rubber/alloy jobby to match your clocks!!!
