My golf then and now
« on: 05 September 2008, 19:56 »
its been a while since i posted on this forum due to me losing faith in vw's because my old golf pictured in my signature had lots of engine problems and was doing my head in so i found that ...joe was selling his golf and as most of you will know it was a lovely car so i decided to buy it and i was going to add my own flare to it which i started to do as you can see from the pictures below,

I purchased some WRD mesh which where 15x8 on the fronts and 15x8.5s on the rears fully polished and imo looked awesome. i bought a nice stereo and i was going to get joe "trimedeluxe" nut to trim me some recaros in a dark red leather.

anyway that was then and this is what happened next,

I slept round my girlfriends house and parked my car outside on the main road causing no obstruction to anyone or anything, i fell asleep on the sofa and 4 o clock in the morning came round with my girlfriend shouting at me to wake up because someone had crashed into my car i immediately awoke to hear my alarm screaming, i jumpted up and ran outside to find my car in the middle of the road with a chaved up blue peugeot 206 20 metres down the road on its roof.

i went round to the passenger side of my car at which point i fell to my knees to find this had happened,

these pictures where taken a couple of days after the accident as it was to dark to get any at the time and i was to distraught anyway. i havnt been able to put pictures of the drivers side up which is also f**ked because the fuel tank came through and put some rather large dents in it.

it gets better lol, the driver of the blue 206 managed to get out of his car before i got outside and ran off down the road, there where 5 police cars looking for him but because they are incompetant they didnt manage it. And futhermore he was UNINSURED and to cut a long story short i was only third party fire and theft due to my policy ending on the 1/9/08 when i was going to get an agreed valuation done on my car and change insurance companies sods law ay. so at the moment im struggling to get any money back from anyone i am trying the MIB which should give me some cash but im not counting on it and the kid that did it still hasnt been caught by the old bill.

what an awesome couple of weeks

I heard Joe saying it had been written off, didn't expect that though.

I won't say anything to try and make you feel better as i can't imagine anything but "we've caught the prick" would make it any better right now!

Really sorry M8!!!

Don't give up with the MIB cos I was hit by an un-insured driver in 2003 and same thing police were sh!te, I found out that the car was bought from the local scrappy and I found out who bought it and where they lived etc... still, not enough evidence to prosecute as the car was registered to a woman who didn't even have a licence let alone any tax or insurance and it was a guy driving at the time. Anyway to cut a veeerrrrrrryyyyy long story as short as I can, the MIB were cr@p because I never heard anything from them I just had to keep pestering them and I think they got fed up with me in the end and i got some money. They took £300 of what they had given me though as their "fee"???

If you find this arsehole, put a balaclava on so you are not recognised, then go rip his fcuking head off! People with no insurance should be strung up by the balls. Lucky it was only your car, although I feel your loss. It could have been a kid!
