A GTI Mk5 with around 230-250 bhp is a perfect package imo - Not too much of a FWD handful and very well balanced for UK roads and still totally adequate for the autobahns.

Very true, but a remap alone will give you this nice balanced package.

Not for a standard GTI with a few extra's

You can get a Pirelli for that money easily. :wink:
