TC get yourself a mac with safari browser it auto spell checks as you type and underlines the words in red like word does in windows

....I must have mine switched off but can't see the option in Preferences. I'm using Safari 3.1.2 on OS 10.5.4. I don't like such features anyway.

That's the same build as mine RR. I find that one of the most useful features of Safari and isn't too obtrusive.

For Windows users such as Chuckles the Cat Safari (including this spell check on the fly function) is available as a free download from apple.com

....Cheers! I must have missed it but anyway I hate stuff like that and predictive text etc. I seem to manage very well without any of it.

....I used to run Firefox too and it's better imo than earlier versions of Safari but imo the latest Safari is now best. But it mostly comes down to personal preference - A bit like cars really ;)

Seeing as this is an "all over the place thread", does anyone know of a good Mercedes Benz forum, I need to find out a bit more about the SLK??.

Don't worry, I'm keeping the GTI lol!
