Are 8V inner CV boots the same as 16V inner CV boots

Hi, just wondered if anyone knows if the 8V inner CV boots are the same as 16V inner CV boots as i am about to order from GSF and they only have ones for 8V GTI's. Thanks in advance.

8v is different.
16v and vr6 are the same.

I am quite confused by GSF then as the MK3 VR6 and 16V CV kit has the same code as the MK3 GTI 8V kit so i would have thought the CV boots would have been the same. Do you know a good place to order the CV boot kits for the MK3 16V? Thanks for all the help, it is very much appreciated as i am new to the GTI.

I have checked my etka software and it shows the 8v and 16v use the same cv joints and the same boots... The non gti do use a different one

Cool, thanks for that, GSF have also e-mailed me back saying they are the same. Now all i have to do is fit them

Etka actually lists a different parts number for the 8v on early models, i checked 1994 models.
But 1996 models list the same part number for 8v, 16v and vr6.

It is actually the same, its just listed twice on ETKA, i think i need my eyes testing
