Had a really great time, it was great tieing up with you all. Boy do we have some stories to tell..........especially our journey there, 6 hours from Guildford......you couldn't write the script it was so eventful :o I'll go into more detail about that later once I have my photo's uploaded.

There were 2 things that really stuck in my mind. One was obviously that amazing shortwheel base Audi quattro :o
The other was that incident when we came back from the bar Saturday night and came across these guys who had been through our camping area. When confronted we quickly discovered they were French to which 'mk216vdubbya' immediately responded in totally fluent French........I don't know who was the more shocked, the French guys or us......in fact I seem to remember 'golfgal' saying: Was that one of us just said that :o Nice one Gav :)

Echoing whats already been said, big thanks to everyone that made it what it was. Hopefully see all of you again in 1 months time at VW-Action.

SoundillusioN, Shaun, I really hope you do get your car fixed. Really gutted for you mate, that was a gorgeous pre-accident Mk1. Keep in touch, let us know how you get on.

err...got home last night, my missus pointed out that I had a sunburnt face......

as it rained all weekend i can only assume that I burnt my face leaning over the barbecue with those crazy irish guys at 3 in the morning......

I'm not the only one then! My face is burnt as well! Doesn't seem to matter what show I go to and what the conditions are......I get a burnt face! I can't even blame the bbq.

Even if its raining I'm going to wear sunblock in the future :)

Ian and Shaun said they saw you pull onto the A12 as we went past......a little further down. We dropped out of the queue in the end and headed off round the back roads ourselves. Loads of other VW's doing the same.....got there in the end.

Big smash on the M25 left us stationary for around an hour otherwise we wouldn't have done too bad.

How was the steak ;)

very good, but i think i baffled the missus with all my plans, just don`t know what to do replace mk4, replace camper, restore camper, mk1 cabbie 2.0 16v carb conversion. think i`ll sleep on it for a couple of months.
all i did was get on the a12 further up, where you saw me i had just filled up with petrol. also saw s11eps near cambridge asleep in a layby 8)
