The pics a photoshop so may not come with the pescaras on
Have just seen some pics of the new GTI MK6 looks like they have put pescaras on that.

Not that this helps us unluky ones with scuffed alloys.

Been to a 3rd alloy refurb place and they can get close to the colour but have advised me that i will have to have both wheels on the same side done so you cant tell the diffrence.

Might just bite the bullet and pay for them to all be done a diffrent colour.  Anthrecite looks good on a Black car??

Yup, I bought a touch up from the dealer.

But that is the wrong code!  You have been supplied 0Y7, where as the wheels paint code is QQ9 - so no wonder it didn't match!

Picked the other code paint touch up today. It looks a closer match. Will give it a try at the weekend and report back.

after 24k have finally managed to do one of mine this morning

£429.26 for a new one which seems like the only option! but did they change the colour slightly iirc,  having an early Ed30 is there a chance it wont match?

I rather unscientifically printed off a sample of B7U from a website and it actually looks tonally the same as the wheel, so I took a chance and ordered a rattle can this morning. Should come tomorrow.

search for B7U here

http://www.paintscratch.com/search.htm

Obviously I have no idea how accurate that is, or indeed the printer I used to print it. But interesting they call it 'Titanium Gray Metallic', titanium seems an good description of the real colour.

I purchased the can from www.paints4u.com

No doubt Tagnut will be along shortly to tell us its a horrific non match

Your right.

I tried the second lot of touch up paint on the wheel on sunday. First the good news .  Its a much closer match than the 0Y7 titan met.

The bad news is it still not close enough for me.

*UPDATE*  When I got the parts guy to double check the paint code for the Pescara wheels. He came back with two codes again. One was the previous paint that I returned. The second was 0M2 B7U. Now that dosen't match TT's QQ9.

I will be back at the dealers this week and will get them to check again. I will keep you guys posted.

yes I agree that B7U is far too dark.

Actually the best match I have so far is Halfords own brand 'Wheel and Wheel Trim Paint Silver'. As seen here

(middle section has been touched up. I would expect to look better once levelled with some filler first)
