I got the part number off the back of the wheel. Went into the local dealer and got him to check the system. It came back Titan Grey.

oh, i thought someone had tried titan grey and it was way way off ?

Me too, I thought it TagnuT who tried it and said it was too dark  :undecided:

It was too dark, the wheel looked like it had spots!!!!

Yup, I bought a touch up from the dealer.

I just applied a small drop. It looked promising at first, on closer inspection it was too dark to match.

But that is the wrong code!  You have been supplied 0Y7, where as the wheels paint code is QQ9 - so no wonder it didn't match!

When the parts guy looked the part number up on the system there were two paint codes. One code VW didn't do any more. So I bought the other one. I'm sure that they were both listed as Titan metallic.

I did write the codes down somewhere..............

There are two codes, but one is for "Titan metallic" Y7P, and the other is "Titan grey metallic" B7U - and both are still available.  Dunno why they don't match the QQ9 though!

Maybe contact BBS directly.  The correct "German" name is "BBS Design" - and just to make sure we're both singing from the same hymn-sheet, the alloy part no is: 1K0 601 025 AT QQ9.

When I picked up my ED30, it was raining heavily, so didn't get a full decent look at it but everything seemed in shipshape order with no scratches or dents or resprays.

What I missed was the fact that one alloy is a little lighter in colour than the others. Figured it was a refurbed one but reading this thread, maybe it was from an earlier ED30? Maybe newer pescaras are darker in colour hence the darker paint?

Actually, looking at the picture in reply #16, they don't look like Titan grey at all.  IIRC, the "original" Titan grey was used on the C5 RS6-plus alloys, and more recently on the B7 RS4 alloys with the "Titan package".  Maybe ETKA is wrong.

Has anybody contacted BBS directly?
