Quickconnect Adapter and Parrot CK3000

Has anyone installed the above adapter it allows the phone button on the MFSW to work with the parrot kit. I have a Nokia CK7W kit but I am swapping it out for the parrot CK3000 instead.

From what I understand it works well but haven't tried it myself.

If you have the Highline comp have you considered the VAG OEM Bluetooth from VrStu?

Thats the one, a crowd called www.quickconnectproducts.com, do a complete kit.
My GTi came with Midline so the OEM is of no use to me but I want the "phone" button to work.

I have to wait on Martha to be repaired after her crash before I can do the install.

I've got the Parrot CK3000 Evolution with Multican so that it works via the phone button on the steering wheel.

I've only had it a couple of weeks but so far so good.  I had to have the microphone moved though as it was initially located in the interior light cluster but my callers couldn't hear me so I had to have it moved outside the light cluster and it now sits on the A-pillar.

It works by voice recognition so you have to add voice tags to the names in your phone book to enable you to call someone.  Unlike the OEM bluetooth that several people have fitted you don't get anything on the dash telling you who is calling, missed calls etc.

Have you set yours to pre-announce the caller, if a voice tag is set up, if so does it work well.

How does the keyword stuff work where a home/office/mobile number can be selected via voice. The CK3000 seems to have loads of useful features.

I'll install mine when "Martha" returns from the body shop next week, cant wait to have my GTi back.

I've not actually got round to setting up the voice tags on my phone yet because it's a new phone so I can't really answer that.  Apart from to say that if you have multiple numbers for one person (home/work/mobile etc) I would imagine you have to save them as separate numbers eg. "John home", "John work" and "John mobile" etc.

Did you have any problem setting the volume I cant seem to increase it?

I've been running this setup since I got my car last May, works well and I like the fact that you can't see any additional buttons in the car.  As for the Volume, I have found that you can only alter the volume when in a call, use the steering wheel volume buttons, failing that use the volume buttons on the phone.

Sorted it out with Howard from Quickconnectproducts, the parrot speaker output the black and white wire was loose in the quadlock connector on the rear of the head unit. Its a great set up, using the steering wheel button or the Voice Commands for Phone and Hang-up make it truly hands free.

I Have a parrot bluetooth kit fitted, I did not have to record voicetags the system is very clever and it converts the txt entries in your directory to voicetags.
All controls are voice activated, i.e. accept, reject, dial a number, dial phoneook entry, play music.

Really is neat piece of kit it even understands my thick northern accent.

Comes with a little removable touchscreen pad and also allows you to play MP's off your phone through it. Not tried it though cos I have Ipod.

£180 fitted, integrated to satnav with volume control.
