i was thinking about what those bits of plastic are actually supposed to be for - i think they're to support the filter itself and stop it falling down yet the filter sites in the lip at the top anyway

anyhoo - that weight reduction must be good for at least another 2 mpg    had to be carfeul not to cut right through the airbox lol

Ah yes i see what you mean  :nerd:

lol @ weight reduction.

Rhyso thinks im a miner only going under ground, plus the little bits of plastic are to stop the filter dropping down to allow crap to collect at bottom and to allow good airflow around the box. (which you have just butchered off by the way) ha ha   but it dont matter cos like you say it sits in the top anyways

They're stunning golfs gents.....  Rich's looks best IMO, love the exhaust, R32 alloys and the spoiler.

With regards to the spoiler, are they easy to fit once they're sprayed??  After my success with my painting this weekend, i'd be tempted to purchase one and spray it myself....  just how do you attach it to the car though??

Yeah, the Anni/R32 version is the one i'd like.....  What website did you order yours from? and, how much did the spraying cost??  A mate suggested if i want it sprayed properly, there's a bodywork place that match the colour of your car as it is at the moment (fade from weathering etc)  As happy as i am with me wing mirror, im not sure my skills will stretch to a spoiler...lol
