1.9d mods please
« on: 30 August 2008, 14:57 »
Hi there guys, my mrs's  18 year old lad has inherited his fathers mk3 1900 diesel on a p plate,i know it wont win any races but its only done 45000 miles so i believe it will plod on for a fair few years yet, in my younger years i have owned a mk2 and a mk3 gti so i am quite clued up on the cosmetic changes you can do.
Its m.o.t has expired and its sorned at the moment, i am in the process of replacing radiator but i know it needs rear brake pipes to pass its test, i will have a go at most things but i dont know where to start on this job, i dont even know how and where to buy the replacement pipes, do you just buy a roll off the stuff and shape them to fit? Advice on doing the job would be appreciated
Also on my gti i had a dtm upswept exhaust, coz its a diesel can i fit one?
Thanks in advance for your help

go to any good motor shop and they should make them up for you (otherwise youll need a roll of pipe and a flare kit)...
and exhaut wise any back box will fit (and i'm sure a gti 8v one will just bolt on)

I'm sure euro will be able to sort you some (I'm not sure if they make them on site tho??) but otherwise smaller car parts places are better
